Brendan was an avid Pokémon trainer. After defeating Steven Stone to become champion in his home region, he had decided to conquer the rest to become the world's greatest trainer. As of now, he had just finished up his final gym battle in the Johto region, and was ready to take on the elite four. But being Professor Birch's protégé, he had also agreed to fill out the dexes for every region for his research. So Brendan was strolling through Route 45, a route with a few Pokémon he hadn't seen before. While Skarmory and Phanpy were known in Brendan's home region, Hoenn, there were two Pokémon on this route he needed to catch. Brendan found the first Pokémon he needed with relative ease. A Gligar which had been rustling through a berry bush. Brendan immediately sent out his partner, Roserade. "Use Stun Spore!" The move
